About the role

As Manager Operations, you will lead daily warehouse operations, client satisfaction, and overall facility performance. Bringing together a strong pharmaceutical background (Pharm-D) and operational expertise, you will focus on improving workflows, managing budgets, preventing stock losses, and leading a strong team while ensuring complete compliance with QSHE rules, legal regulations, and client service standards.

What you will do

  • Operational Leadership & Execution: Direct all inbound, warehousing, value-added services, and outbound distribution operations by establishing, implementing, and enforcing operational, program, and personnel policies.
  • Strategic Planning & Process Optimization: Analyze operational workflows and KPI benchmarks; design data-driven strategies to streamline supply chain processes, eliminate bottlenecks, and maximize facility throughput.
  • Client SLA & Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all operations comply strictly with federal, state, and local material handling regulations, GDP/GMP pharma standards, and customer Service Level Agreements (SLAs). Partner with top management to draft and refine new customer SLAs.
  • Financial Management & Budgeting: Achieve financial goals by preparing annual operational budgets, scheduling expenditures, tracking variances, implementing cost-reduction initiatives, and maximizing profitability.
  • Loss Prevention & Security: Design and implement robust security protocols and strategies to prevent stock damage, theft, and inventory loss across all warehouse zones.
  • KPI Reporting & Analytics: Drive monthly reporting of core logistics KPIs (order fulfillment rate, inventory accuracy, dock-to-stock time, MHE utilization) and convert metrics into actionable improvement plans.
  • Workforce Development & Mentorship: Lead, mentor, and build a high-caliber warehouse team through strategic recruitment, task allocation, performance appraisals, coaching, and succession planning.
  • Facility Maintenance & Cross-Departmental Synergy: Maintain the physical condition and aesthetics of the facility by managing work orders for maintenance and collaborating closely with Admin, IT, QSHE, and Finance heads.
  • QSHE & Quality Assurance: Maintain a safe system of work, integrate product and facility quality, proactively identify hazards, and enforce full QSHE and workplace safety compliance across all shifts.

What we are looking for

  • Education: Pharm-D (Doctor of Pharmacy) degree is mandatory.
  • Experience: 5 to 7 years of progressive operational management experience in a fast-paced 3PL (Third-Party Logistics) or pharmaceutical distribution setting.
  • Technical Proficiency: In-depth experience with enterprise WMS/ERP solutions (SAP/Oracle), Advanced Excel, and logistics data analytics.
  • Core Competencies: P&L management, budget control, strong negotiation capabilities, workforce leadership, conflict resolution, and client management skills.

Nice to have

  • Solid background in Good Distribution Practices (GDP), Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), and temperature-controlled cold chain operations.
  • Hands-on experience managing multi-client 3PL operations and high-density racking facilities.
  • Advanced training or certification in Lean Six Sigma, Supply Chain Management, or ISO/QSHE standards.
